Our Executive Director is retiring, which means the greatest job in the world is available!
In this role you'll facilitate the CBA vision of an "Affordable Chico" through Board coordination, organization administration, and community-wide relationship-building.
It's not rocket-science. And it's fun! If you like working independently, and like working with a great bunch of guys, it'll be a good fit.
This is a contract position that averages 20-30 hours per week. Meetings and events are in Chico. Your passions and interests for building construction and/or economic development will drive the number of hours you work.
There are a few set meetings, but otherwise you set your own schedule.
What are the basic job functions?
Working independently, perform basic administrative and high-level operational tasks for a 9-member Board of Directors.
Monthly Board of Directors meetings: notify, identify agenda and materials needed, coordinate lunch, take notes, write post-meeting minutes. Coordinate other meetings as needed.
Attend meetings: Ensure CBA is represented at industry-related initiatives that involve Chico. Attend meetings and identify opportunities to inform on facts, affordability, and realistic outcomes.
Membership: Update and maintain records, including processing of payments, invoicing, follow up with new members and manage updates to the member database.
Events: Coordinate and manage details for quarterly lunches, educational seminars, and other events as identified.
Submit your resume and cover letter to firstname.lastname@example.org. Ideally we'll have someone ready to roll by December 1.
